Saturday was a beautiful spring day for exploring, so my husband & I enjoyed a day trip into Yellowstone to experience a bit of the park in winter…before it’s too late this year. Don’t worry, there’s a lot of beautiful snow up there! What was amazing was the number of animals around. Before entering the park were the customary antelope near Gardiner and the park entrance. The mule deer were everywhere! Bison dotted the area periodically, and we even saw some big horn sheep. But, my favorite, the elk, were even around, herds of them! Of course, by then the camera battery was dead!
