Christmas Gifts

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, the Christmas shopping season is officially upon us. We’re all in the throes of making gift giving financial decisions, or not. Sometimes we just go out and spend impulsively and feel the consequences later! There are considerations other than the number and price of gifts. Not one of us could possibly afford all the gifts we’d like to give to family and friends. We all strive to find the happy medium between being a Scrooge and being extravagantly irresponsible. As we’re dealing with this dilemna, instead of getting stressed , we can all give an unlimited number of the most important and priceless gifts.

What gifts are these? Kindness toward everyone we encounter is the best gift of all, yet we so often forget this in our everyday life, and especially, in the Christmas rush. This year, if we each work on an attitude of love and kindness to every person we meet, just think what an impact we can have on our little corner of the world! Corny as it sounds, let’s each spread the joy. Start with the gift of a smile.

  1. Jyl,
This is so true. Our to-do lists grow exponentially around Christmas-time and having so many commitments can cause us to be grumpy and miss the point of the season entirely. Thanks for the reminder.

  2. Good thoughts and great reminders of who we should be and could be with a little effort. Thanks!
