Groundhog Day

Six more weeks of winter, or an early spring… Which will it be? As the legend goes, if Phil sees his shadow this year on Saturday, February 2nd, we can expect six more weeks of winter weather. No shadow signals an early spring! (I’m wishing for Spring!)
Just for fun, by visting this site, you can watch a live webcam of Punxsutawney Phil’s Prognostication and find out whether we’ll have an early spring.

Oh how we wish for spring!! It has been a round or rounds of snow every week for us here…Tonight we have another storm coming our way with freezing rain and then tons of snow 🙂

    Best to all at JHL..

Today is Monday and while walking to work the songbirds singing accompanied me. Add this sure sign spring is coming to the light dusting of snow and we can see why February is a month of transition. One day it’s certainly winter and the next day…hurray! Spring is coming, despite what the groundhog says!

Aha I feel so good reading what Jyl has experienced…We have another onslaught of snow today and this week ….

  4. Wow, Spring is truly in the air! It is a sun filled 55 degrees of wonderful this afternoon!

Spring is coming and coming soon! Yesterday here in Lovell the temps topped out at 62! That really brings thoughts of spring to the forefront. For all of us who welcome springs return, whether we’re gardeners or dreamers, it’s time for the seed catalogs! Wonderful thoughts of spring come with the catalogs whether on line or the traditional paper catalogs you can hold in your hands and mark up.

Once you’re looking at that catalog NOW is the time to dream, plan for this year and order your seeds. All of this brings spring just a little closer. Enjoy.
