It’s county fair season here in Wyoming. Last night The Park County Fair in nearby Powell hosted a concert featuring the great Sawyer Brown. They played a variety of songs from their 27 year music career. My husband and I went with some friends and had a wonderful time. It’s fun to reminisce about county fairs from years ago and to make new memories as well. The first date I went on with my husband Rob was to a Diamond Rio concert at the Park County Fair 15 years ago. For us fair concerts are an anniversary of sorts. There is so much more to fair than the entertainment, socialization and good food. The 4-H members learn many valuable life lessons including the value of hard work, commitment, follow through and much more. All of the exhibitors get an opprotunity to express their creativity and talents. The Park and Big Horn County Fairs are full of fun for all ages. It time to head out and support the local county fairs that are so important to our rural lifestyle here in Northwest Wyoming.
