Wildfire Season

As everyone has noticed the fire season has come early this year to our beloved area even after the cool wet Spring we had.

There is a back country wildfire in North Fork outside of Cody. So far reports say this has been little threat to any homes or structures. Hopefully the regrowth will come and the wildlife will benifit very soon.

Also, one of my all time favorite places to visit, Red Lodge Montana, is battling a wildfire that was started by lightening. The Cascade Fire started in the canyon a few miles from Red Lodge and is heading toward town. Some cabins and other buildings have been lost in this devastation.

Mother Nature has a harsh way of renewing itself in these wildfires. It is such a sad event to have this happen to our beautiful area.

I am so thankful for the firefighters and will keep them in my thoughts and prayers as they fight this fire.
