Playing Twin Baby Moose

One of my favorite wildlife animals has to be moose. We are lucky to have a lot of them on the Big Horn Mountains. My family and I enjoy going out in the evenings and watching for these beautiful and majestic animals. They are always much larger than I am expecting. Last year we had a young moose run through our camp and it stayed around eating grass for quite a while and we all got to take as many pictures and just watch him close up. I received an email message from one of my cousins of a video of twin baby moose playing in a sprinkler. It has to be one of the cutest things I have seen! Take a couple of minutes, relax and watch the video, then take a drive up on the Big Horn Mountains, or over to Yellowstone and see one and if you get a picture of it, email it to us here at the office, we will post it on the website!

Here is the video!

The picture on the home page of the website today was provided by Billie Rawlings who works at the Frannie Port of Entry. She took the picture of the moose by her cabin up on the Big Horn Mountians.
    Thanks for the picture!

Sunday we drove from the East Entrance of Yellowstone to West Yellowstone and back and enjoyed many elk grazing in various places plus the usual uncountable buffalo including a cow with 3 calves in a half hour buffalo jam. I love Yellowstone and its variety. However enjoyable this was, we didn’t see any moose. No wonder we love the Big Horn Mountains!

I loved the video of the twin baby moose and their mother playing in the sprinkler! Our hunting camp is in Sunlight and this year a mother moose was in the game warden’s corrals eating the horses hay while her twin babies were playing in the grass nearby. We got to watch for quite a while and take some great photos. She finally decided we had been there long enough and ran to the twins and took them away. I love moose they are so beautiful! They are truly amazing creatures:-)
