Today’s well attended Lovell Chamber of Commerce meeting featured 2 important guests. Representative Elaine Harvey of Lovell and Senator Ray Peterson of Cowley each spoke about current topics of discussion in our state government. Some of the areas they’re involved in include road and highway infrastructure, bus transportation, pipeline safety measures, and school and health appropriations. It was interesting to hear how some of the plans have changed based on the national economy and the resulting tightening down in many areas throughout the state of Wyoming. Following the Chamber meeting Harvey and Petersen are participating in this afternoon’s ground breaking ceremony at our new Rocky Mountain Middle/High School in Cowley.
In our area of Wyoming that is sometimes forgotten due to our small populations, we are very fortunate having Harvey and Peterson provide such wonderful representation of our values, way of life and livelihood.
