The last two weeks have been so much fun. Christmas and New Years falling on a Thursday made for two short work weeks and 2 long weekends in a row. We have gotten lots of family time in including a trip to the beautiful Big Horn Mountains. Now it’s time to get back into our work/school routine and I think we are all ready.
With a fresh year ahead of us, goals set and resolutions made I look ahead at 09′ with excitement. With global economic uncertainty swirling around us and many Americans reacting in fear, I resolve to move confidently in the direction of my goals and dreams. I know that there are very real and tangible economic problems on every level right now and it’s important to make conservative decisions based on the changes we are experiencing. I’m also a big believer in research and I have been studying other economic down turns and recessions. It’s encouraging to see how predictable they really are and it’s fascinating to see how the public’ s “fear factor” tends to affect the pending recovery. There’s no better research than talking directly to others on a similar career path that have been through rough times and not only survived but thrived. I have learned valuable lessons in 08′ that will be with me forever. One way to turn a negative into a positive is to write down specifically what you have learned from the experience and how those lessons learned will be a benefit to you in the future. This is what I have done and one of the reasons that I am sincerely looking forward to 09′ with confidence and excitement.
