The Olympics, What a Rush!

What a rush!  Watching the Winter Olympics gives such a wonderful break regardless of how busy and exciting our regular life!  With the great TV coverage don’t you feel like you’re the one flying over the ice in the speed skating events?  Can’t you feel the jarring in your knees and back as the athletes hit those bumps as they ski down the track?  Watching the snowboarding  aerial tricks just stops my heart;  here’s where the mother in me is at full alarm status as I hold my breathe.  These “kids” are amazing!  Watching the “Flying Tomato”, Shaun White, with his gold metal run and joyful victory ride was exhilarating!  Of course, we can’t forget the beauty and grace of the figure skaters.  How about those pants the Norwegian curling team wears!  The Winter Olympics has something for everyone.

The Olympics are good for our patriotism, too.  Don’t you feel proud listening to the National Anthem played during the metals ceremonies!  What a rush.

About Jyl Duffy

I love being a REALTOR and Office Administrator for Johnson Home and Land. There's no place like home here in Wyoming. This is home even though I enjoyed living in Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Carolina previously. With my husband, Dave, when we're not busy working we enjoy our Christian activities and being out of doors fly fishing, camping, golfing or snow shoeing. Wyoming is the best place to be for our active outdoor lifestyle.

I love seeing Old Glory raised just a little higher than the others with the Anthem playing…..there’s nothing like it.
