Summertime and the Livin is Easy…?

Hurray!  It’s June, which means it’s summer regardless of the weather.  The kids are out of school and the vacation season has begun in earnest.  Our own Sarah and family are enjoying Disney.  I can’t wait to hear the stories.

Now that we passed the “official” Memorial Day planting date, Jyl, the novice gardener, is frantically trying to get the flowers and tomatoes from their resting places on the ground to reside in the ground before they dry out.  Here’s another perk of home ownership:  I get to plant perennials and look forward to them next year and the next…  Watching the blooming of perennials planted by the last owner of our home is exciting, an unexpected gift from the past!  It’s fun adding to the wealth of returning flowers.  May you meet the inner gardener in you, too!  There is something to this nurturing new life from the soil.

Let’s enjoy that summer state of mind today and all summer, maybe all the time!

About Jyl Duffy

I love being a REALTOR and Office Administrator for Johnson Home and Land. There's no place like home here in Wyoming. This is home even though I enjoyed living in Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Carolina previously. With my husband, Dave, when we're not busy working we enjoy our Christian activities and being out of doors fly fishing, camping, golfing or snow shoeing. Wyoming is the best place to be for our active outdoor lifestyle.

  1. Jyl, happy to hear you are enjoying your new home so much. Gardening is so relaxing and rewarding when you see the beauty around you in your own yard & garden.
