Hot Caramel Apple Cider

A change of season is upon us again! Happy Fall Y’all! Today marks the first day of Fall. Our area of Northern Wyoming is seeing the change in shorter days, cooler temperatures, changing colors in the leaves and football.
I got an email teaser from a favorite coffee shop that was advertising a tempting treat that I can’t wait to try.
I found this recipe online. Let me know what you think. Sounds yummy to me!

Caramel Apple Cider

1. In a medium sauce pot Heat apple cider to a simmer on low heat stir occasionally.
2. Add 2 teaspoons of caramel syrup for every cup of apple cider used.
3. Heat until caramel is melted then remove from heat.
4. Pour into mugs.
5. Top with whipped cream and more caramel syrup if desired.

I bet it would be perfect with a pumpkin bar. I can’t wait for the weekend to make them and enjoy in front of the TV while watching our favorite teams.

  2. Me too, HAVE TO have coffee! This is fun to try on cold days. The kids will love it. I made them on Sunday and the whipped cream was yummy but messy. I will pass on that next time. Otherwise it tastes so much like a real caramel apple.
