So you want to see a moose! Like the mule deer the best time to see them seems to be early and late in the day. Last night after 9, I crossed the Big Horns from Sheridan to Lovell and saw 6 moose, including a calf with his mother. We were treated to cool evening temperatures (41 was the lowest) and patches of snow everywhere above 9,000 feet. It’s great to have these higher elevations so close. When it’s hot we can just go up the mountains to cool off. The moose are pretty smart, staying up there!
