Did you wish you were in our current home page winter scene? Then you’re a real winter person, like me. The recent snow in our nearby mountains is so pretty and inviting. Saturday near Red Lodge, less than 2 hours away, was fantastic snow shoeing. We watched a bald eagle soaring along but weren’t quick enough with the camera to catch him, maybe next time. Sunday was too windy for me so a nice drive from Red Lodge through Belfry and on past Wapiti to the current end of the road was in order. The Big Horn Sheep that winter along the roadside are fascinating. In the weekend travels we watched several families sliding down the hills both large & small. We’re never at a loss for wildlife to see or things to do around here!
Looks like a fun time and a beautiful view. I enjoy being out once I get out in the cold, it’s just getting all set to go out and the first initial blast of cold that hinder me at times. I too am thankful for the beauty that surrounds us in this area and the many opportunities that we have to enjoy them.

Jyl, You are my hero! I love your stories of where you went, what you did over the winter. I am not a cold weather fan, but because of you I can enjoy hearing about the many opportunities our area has for outdoor winter activities!
