Haiti Relief Support

The latest news of the devastating earthquake in Haiti is heart wrenching. The news of this horrible incident has us all at a loss of what to do. Everyone wants to help, but are unsure of where to start, or where give our support. The only way I knew was though prayers and a money donation.

My husband and I donated to Doctors Without Borders, and World Vision

There are so many wonderful organizations to donate to, but you also want to be careful. There are always scams. Please check out this  list from MSNBC on organizations providing relief in Haiti including scams you want to avoid.

    Lisa,
Thank you for this post. It’s very overwhelming to be aware of the devastation and feel so helpless. You are right….prayer is powerful and no matter how much or how little we give it DOES make a difference. I think some people hold back because of concern about the scams so that is a very useful link!

Seeing the devastation and pain in Haiti puts our tiny troubles into perspective. Like the Grinch at Christmas, our tiny hearts grow incredibly as we reach out with our donations and prayers to our sisters and brothers in Haiti. We donated through our church and Food for the Hungry. The main thing is to donate and donate through a reliable agency.
